Students from the University of Birmingham attended an Entrepreneurship event hosted by local employer PKF Cooper Parry. Enterprising students Catherine Eromosele and Mario Saad attended the event during Global Entrepreneurship Week.
The sessions included talks delivered by different entrepreneurs and employees at PKF Cooper Parry.
The event began with a speech from Khusboo Raja, last year’s winner of PKF Cooper Parry’s Dragon’s Den event, she shared experiences of how she managed to grow her Wedding card business for Asian weddings.
The session ended with the CEO, Ade Cheatham who gave a speech on ‘How to be a Leader’. He provided insight on how PKF Cooper Parry rebranded into a different, colourful and modern firm from a traditional East Midlands firm. He explained the importance of setting big goals and how PKF Cooper Parry is on the course to reaching their market share goals.
It was a fun day, which provided fantastic networking opportunities. I got to talk to some of the speakers and left my business card and CV.
